Police have found suspected cannabis growing after a raid in Middlesbrough .

Officers attended an address in Kildare Street, Ayresome on Wednesday and arrested a 34-year-old man.

He was taken into custody on suspicion of production of cannabis and was later released.

Officers shared pictures of what they believe to be the Class B drugs on the Middlesbrough Neighbourhood Policing Team Facebook page.

The post read: “On October 3, police attended an address in Kildare Steet, Middlesbrough where a suspected cannabis grow was located.

“A 34-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of production of cannabis and was later released under investigation.”

It follows a separate find in Yarm Road, Stockton on Tuesday, of almost £700,000 of suspected cannabis, which was seized by drugs police.

A 22-year-old man, Kenald Suci, was arrested and charged with producing Class B drugs.

Police have advised people with information of suspected drugs or criminal activity in their area to contact them on 101 or contact Crimestoppers either via the web site or 0800 555 111.
