Halloween is just around the corner.

And to celebrate Netflix is uploading plenty of new shows and films, to keep you on the edge of your seat.

Viewers can look forward to a terrifying, darker re-telling of Sabrina the Teenage Witch, as well as a hauntingly-good baking series and a new offering from the creators of horror movie, The Purge.

Here are the new shows, films and documentaries to look out for this month.

The Haunting of Hill House

Release date: October 12

Based on a novel of the same name by American author Shirley Jackson, this series follows five siblings who grow up in a notorious haunted house.

Now adults, they find themselves back together again following the suicide of their youngest sister.

The reunion forces them to face the ghosts of their past, as well as those lurking in the shadows of Hill House.

Release date: October 12

A Gothic baking show featuring the wickedly talented social media star, Christine McConnell. Watch as she fills her home with haunting confections, and creepy crafts and creatures.

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina

Release date: October 26

Based on the popular TV and comic series, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, this new Netflix Original re-imagines the dark coming-of-age adventures of the teen.

Its synopsis describes it as follows: “Tonally in the vein of Rosemary’s Baby and The Exorcist , this adaptation finds Sabrina wrestling to reconcile her dual nature — half-witch, half-mortal — while standing against the evil forces that threaten her, her family and the daylight world humans inhabit.”

From the producers of The Purge and Lore, Haunted tells the story of people who have witnessed horrifying or peculiar supernatural events, and other unexplained phenomena.

Making a Murderer, part two

Release date: October 19

Emmy Award-winning filmmakers Laura Ricciardi and Moira Demos return to the Midwest where they have exclusive access to Steven Avery and his co-defendant and nephew Brendan Dassey.

Castlevania

Malevolent

Release date: Available to watch now
