A cyclist was dragged off her bike in a daytime robbery in Middlesbrough.

The 38-year-old was cycling along the black path from Cleveland Retail Park, towards Brambles Farm, when suddenly she was pulled off her bicycle from behind.

The culprit then swiped the bike from the lady and rode off on it.

She escaped uninjured.

Cleveland Police is now appealing for information regarding the robbery.

A spokeswoman for the force said: “The incident happened on Wednesday, September 10, between 3.30pm and 4.30pm, when someone approached her from behind, pulled her off her bike and then took the bike from her.”
