While what happens in the confines of Scream Factory is between the creepy characters and those brave enough to take part, we have a sneak peek just for you.

Immersing people into a “horrifying world that you couldn’t imagine even in your worst nightmares”, Scream Factory’s Extreme Tour has never been one for the faint-hearted.

But each year, the frights get more extreme and the people behind the attraction at Kirklevington Museum come up with different ways to make you scream even louder than before.

And this year is no different.

For 2018, Imaginative Productions, the company behind the terrifying event, have created nine scare zones and new characters.

“Nine thrilling zones have so far been discovered, each year featuring new and old tales,” states the description.

“Those fortunate to survive the horrors tell stories of escaping from nursery rhyme singing butchers, the flickering lights of the old cinema blinding their way and the fear of entering the disused mine.”

Now in its seventh year, Scream Factory is a family-run business and was set up by the Tate family as a way to diversify their Redcar-based flood restoration business.

The multi-award winning attraction attracted over 22,000 people last year – with some guests travelling from as far as Australia, Canada and the USA.

The tour is so nerve-racking that anyone with a nervous disposition, or pregnant women, are advised not to go along.

But well as the Extreme Tour, there’s a Twilight Tour for families and an Isolated Tour for those brave enough to experience it by themselves.
